J. THOMAS DeVOGE, Ph.D.  
     Tom is a native of West Virginia and a loyal Mountaineer. While attending West Virginia University, he completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1966, a master’s degree in Psychology in 1968, and a PH.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1970. From September, 1968, until September, 1970, he completed his clinical internship training at Duke University Medical Center.
         
     Licensed as Practicing Psychologist in Ohio in 1973, Tom has maintained a private practice in Cincinnati, Ohio. This practice became his full-time pursuit in 1984. All in all, Tom has been in clinical practice for over 39 years.
         
     Tom and his wife, Joyce, both certified Master Teachers and Trainers in PAIRS (Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills), founded the Cincinnati Relationship Center (CRC) in 2000. CRC is a sanctuary for people with personal and relationship concerns. The center offers adolescent and adult psychotherapy as well as marital counseling. Tom and Joyce also conduct PAIRS workshops for couples and relationship classes for couples and individuals, as well as recommitment counseling for couples. They love their work.
         
     Away from work, Tom enjoys hiking, organic gardening, playing the piano, tennis, cartooning and fitness training. He completed his first, and maybe last (!) triathlon I 2003. Tom and Joyce have a son, Justin, who is a post-Master’s graduate student in Information and Systems engineering at the University of Virginia.
 
  




JOYCE B. DeVOGE, M.A.

     A native of Indiana, Joyce B. DeVoge earned a B.S from Indiana University in 1968. She completed three years of doctoral training in clinical psychology at the University of Cincinnati, where she earned an M.A. Joyce served twelve years in community mental health programs and focused on school-based prevention, prior to private practice.
 
     After starting a family in 1981, Joyce studied developmental toxicology, while becoming an environmental activist. In 1985, she entered private practice. Joyce and her husband, Tom DeVoge, Ph.D., are two of twenty-five certified PAIRS Master Teachers in the United States (Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills). Joyce and Tom founded the Cincinnati Relationship Center in 2000 where they continue their private practices in child, adolescent and adult psychotherapy, and marital counseling. They conduct PAIRS workshops and classes for couples and individuals, as well as recommitment counseling and awareness for couples.
 
     Joyce’s professional specialties include child developmental assessment and psychotherapy, couples marriage counseling, maternal support – prenatal and postpartum counseling, workshop design and management. Joyce has been a trustee of Lighthouse Youth Services for 25 years and a member of Midwives Care, Inc. Advisory Board for 8 years. She enjoys yoga, hiking, tennis and organic gardening. Joyce and Tom have a son, Justin, a graduate student in Information Engineering at University of Virginia.
